Before Shouvik entered the world of opera and western classical music, he was trained in Indian classical music under his mother, Aditi Mondle and Ustad Ali Akbar Khan. This ancient way of learning from a guru forever shaped his future relationships with teachers and now, how he embodies this philosophy with his own students. From college and beyond, Mr. Mondle had wonderful mentors and teachers from different schools of western classical music - Germanic, French and Italian. While these maestri helped shape who Mr. Mondle became as an operatic performer, they further inspired him to eventually teach and embody a positive and encouraging environment in his studio.

 

Shouvik has worked as a master vocal coach with many wonderful talents from both Broadway and Opera in New York City, but he now maintains a private studio in Annapolis, MD where he enjoys working with students of all ages and levels.
